COMPSAC 2010: Computationally Smart Environments

July 19-23, 2010

Please check the announcements for conference-week information!

Need assistance planning your trip? Check the Travel page for some helpful information.

Smart software solutions applied to diverse areas (including but not limited to Healthcare, Energy, the Environment, Social Applications and Industrial Applications, etc...) can improve efficiency, reliability and quality, while simultaneously reducing costs. Requirement analysis, co-analysis/co-design, modelling, development, testing, measurement, verification, validation, performance, autonomy, safety, security, and dependability constraints are a few of the numerous computing disciplines that can collectively contribute to these smart solutions and are some of the topics of interest. The program of COMPSAC 2010 will continue to feature research and industrial practice papers with a wide range of topics focusing on software and middleware development for distributed platforms, services computing, cloud computing, and mobile systems. The program is not limited to these topics. Interdisciplinary submissions are also encouraged.

To properly engineer smart solutions, the foundations, methodologies, and mechanisms that support the design, modelling and evaluation of software systems and computer applications must come from diverse sources.  Multipdisciplinary work, research and development of software prototypes, industry-university collaborations, all based on new emerging and critical technologies will be of particular interest to this conference.

All accepted papers will be published in the electronic proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society, indexed through INSPEC and EI Index and automatically included in the IEEE digital library.

Notices for Authors:
Authors will be given approximately 20-25 minutes for presentation at their conference session, with 5 minutes available at the end for Q&A.  Depending on the number of papers in each session, presentation times may be slightly shorter for sessions with more than three papers, or there may be a bit more time for discussion in a given session with less than three papers.  If you have questions about your session, please use the online contact form.

COMSPAC proceedings, including main conference (Volume 1) and all affiliated workshops (Volume 2) will be published by Conference Publishing Services (CPS) of the IEEE Computer Society. Indexing information of CPS can be found here: http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/benefits
